Bio

Rudine Alston Hopkins has diligently served for more than 21 years at the South Carolina State Museum. In her role as a Public Safety Officer, she is responsible for providing emergency assistance and guarding exhibits from incidents and threats.

After completing her high school education at Lower Richland High School, she enrolled at Midlands Technical College. Ms. Hopkins spent most of her time working for Fort Jackson Post Exchange before beginning her position at the South Carolina State Museum on March 1, 2002.

Outside of work, she likes to travel, meet new people, watch sports, and spend time with many of her nieces and nephews.
