The State Museum is pleased to announce the reopening of the Lipscomb Art Gallery with a new exhibition focusing on work from the museum's collection.

From the Vault: South Carolina Art from the Museum’s Collection will feature approximately 75 to 100 works from the museum’s art collection, which includes more than 4,500 pieces by artists and craftspeople who were born in or have ties to South Carolina. Many of these works will be on display for the first time, including selections from the recently acquired Everette James Collection, as well as historical pottery and furniture. The exhibition will also showcase visitor favorites from the collection, with pieces by artists such as Eugene Dovollier, Edmund Yaghjian, Virginia Scotchie, and Lee Sipe, among others.

Exhibition entrance is included with museum general admission or membership.
